As the weather cools down, it’s not uncommon to want to reach for more snacks and/or more calories than what our bodies actually need during the day. So if this sounds like you and you know that you’ve recently become a slave to the cookie jar, I’ve got one tried and tested trick to reduce those cravings for snacks – start the day with protein!

If you’ve got a copy of my 28-Day Meal Plan,  you would have noticed that every meal, especially breakfast, includes a source of protein and it doesn’t matter if you prefer a your breakie hot or cold, there’s a protein source out there to suit everyone’s tastes.

A good hit of protein in the morning also helps to stabilise blood sugar levels and will keep you fuller for longer which means you’ll be less likely to mindlessly snack.
